Mobile Device and its Operating System
Periodically check whether or not your mobile device (phone or tablet) and its operating system are still being supported with security updates.
The device manufacturer should inform you when it is about to reach end of life, but may not so so.
Your device will stop receiving security updates when it reaches end of life.
The onus is on you to check.
The same goes for its operating system which will have a separate life span and scheduled end of life.
So get organised
Make a note in your diary to periodically separately check the end of life status of your mobile device and its operating system.
Budget to replace your mobile device every 2-3 years.
