The email notification is sent by your website's Joomla! CMS.

It is not sent by The Joomla! Project.

When the Plugin is enabled, Super Users will be 'nagged' by email (several times a day) until they have updated their website's Joomla! CMS.

How to review the Update Plugin settings

Select the Plugins button in the Site Panel of your website's Dashboard to browse installed Plugins.

Next, click the Plugin's name (highlighted in the image below) to review and change its settings.

In a WYNCHCO Website Design the Joomla! Update Notification Plugin is by default not enabled.

Reason: we actively monitor for Joomla! CMS updates and implement these when available in accordance with our Joomla! CMS Support Service Level of Agreement.

If you do not subscribe to WYNCHCO Joomla! CMS Support then we recommend that you enable the Joomla! Update Notification Plugin.
