The Guided Tours Plugin was introduced with the launch of Joomla! 4.3.

Purpose: to help you when performing tasks in your website's Dashboard.

Guided Tours in the Dashboard

When the Guided Tours Plugin is enabled, a Take a Tour button is displayed at the top of the screen - see image below.

Click the Take a Tour button to select a Guided Tour from a drop-down list - next image.

Available Guided Tours

The image below shows the initial range of Guided Tours included with the release of Joomla! 4.3 in April 2023.

You can create your own own Guided Tours.

How to hide the Guided Tours Feature

When you become proficient using your website's Dashboard, you may wish to turn off this feature until you need to use it again.

For example: when the developer of a 3rd party extension creates a Guided Tour of their extension (with which you are not familiar).

This can be done via the Plugins screen - see image below.
