The future for web developers
It is already a legal requirement in the UK for websites run by public sector organisations to comply with WCAG 2.2 at Level AA.
Approval of ISO/IEC 40500:2025 will no doubt mean that increasing numbers of private sector organisations will in future require web developers to comply with WCAG 2.2 when making procurement decisions.
