Hikashop 6.5.1 is the latest release by Hikari, developer of this useful eCommerce extension for the Joomla! CMS.
It is a Bug Fix Release which introduces several new features.
This version is compatible with the Joomla! 5 and 6 Series and PHP 8.4 and 8.5.
Note: this extension should not break your website when the Backward Compatibility Plugin is disabled.
Quote from v6.5.1 Release Notes:
"HikaShop and its plugins now use the namespaced Joomla classes in their own code instead of the legacy class names (JFactory, JText, and so on). HikaShop already mapped those legacy names to their modern equivalents itself, so the shop kept working the same way (including with Joomla's Backward Compatibility plugin disabled); this change keeps the code aligned with the current Joomla APIs for easier maintenance going forward, with no change to how the shop runs."
