Hacker News report that Google has "released security updates for its Chrome browser to address a security flaw that it said has been exploited in the wild".
The vulnerability is rated high in severity.
Vulnerabilities and flaws which are actively exploited in the wild are also known as Zero Day vulnerabilities.
A patch for a Zero-Day Vulnerability is issued by developers when they discover a flaw which has been exploited without their knowledge.
Users are advised by The Hacker News report to update their Chrome browser to versions:
- 145.0.7632.75/76 for Windows and macOS, and
- 144.0.7559.75 for Linux.
Users of other Chromium-based browsers (Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi) are also advised to check they continue to use the latest available release.
