Joomla! 5.1 is released by The Joomla! Project

The Joomla! Project has announced the release of Joomla! 5.1.
It is the latest minor version in the Joomla! 5 Series
If your website is already using Joomla! 5 then your server will be compatible with Joomla! 5.1.
If however you are still using Joomla! 4 then you should check the server is compatible before updating your website's Joomla! CMS to Joomla! 5.1.

The Joomla! Project has announced the release of Joomla! 4.4.4.
Joomla! 4.4.4 contains updates to allow for a smoother upgrade path to Joomla! 5.x but no new features.
If not yet using Joomla! 5.x then update your website to Joomla! 4.4.4 before updating it to Joomla! 5.1, also released today.

Akeeba Admin Tools 7.5.2 Bug Fix Release
Release date: 17 April 2024.
Akeeba Admin Tools 7.5.2 is a critical Bug Fix Release for Joomla! 4 and 5.
The developer has stated the following reason for 7.5.2 just one day after 7.5.1:
the HTACCESS code amendment recommended by the Joomla! Project in its Joomla! 4.4.4 and 5.1.0 Post Installation Messages was incomplete, causing problems when used in a more complex .htaccess file like the ones generated by the Akeeba Admin Tools .htaccess Maker.

Microsoft release patches addressing several Zero-Day vulnerabilities
Date: 10 April 2024.
The Hacker News report that Microsoft has "released security updates for the month of April 2024 to remediate a record 149 flaws, two of which have come under active exploitation in the wild".
A Zero-Day patch is issued issued by a developer when they discover a flaw which has been exploited without their knowledge.
