The BANNERS COMPONENT will display selected BANNERS across your website using BANNER MODULES.
How to use the BANNERS COMPONENT
If starting with a blank canvas, the process of publishing a BANNER in a Joomla! website is quite complex.
The good news is that we include in each WYNCHCO website design a suite of ready to use:
- BANNER CATEGORIES,
- BANNER CLIENTS,
- BANNERS, and
- BANNER MODULES.
But if you do not plan to earn income from banner clicks then all of the above is a bit over the top.
Take earning money from clicks out of the mix and all you need to quickly publish BANNERS across your website are:
- IMAGES and
- MODULES.
And so we prefer to display BANNER IMAGES in our own website using a simple RANDOM IMAGE BOX.
You can choose to adopt either approach.

Why not publish BANNERS inside ARTICLES?
You can of course publish images inside Articles.
However, if you add a BANNER IMAGE to an ARTICLE then it will only be visible when the Article is viewed.
Whereas when you publish a BANNER IMAGE using a MODULE you can display it above or below every Article in your website!
And when you want to replace the BANNER IMAGE you can do so by simply editing the MODULE instead of every ARTICLE.
If you do want to publish BANNERS inside Articles then we recommend you use the LOADPOSITION Command.
