Hacker News recommend updating Google Chrome ASAP

joomla support cheshire manchester merseyside north west uk11 August 2020.

Hacker News recommend users of Google Chrome check they are using the latest available release.

Reason: users of out of date versions are vulnerable to being hacked when they visit popular websites such as Facebook etc.

The Hacker News recommend not using Chrome to browse the web until you see it is the patched version:

  • 84.0.4147.89

or a later version.

Update Chrome to the latest release

By default the Chrome browser should update automatically.

But to be on the safe side, you should still check you are using the latest release.
