To review your website's global settings select the Global Configuration button in the Systems Panel of the Home Dashboard.

See image below.

The main Global Configuration screen enables you to:

  1. control whether search engine friendly URLs are enabled,
  2. change the site global meta description, and
  3. choose a content editor (other than the default editor provided, TinyMCE)

as well make a wide range of other changes which will impact upon website performance.

You can also review the Global Configuration settings for any one element (example, Users) by selecting the OPTIONS button from the top right of the screen in your website's Dashboard.

In this article we cover the key settings which can be changed in the main panel of the Global Configuration screen.

These settings are listed under the following SIX tabs:

  1. Site,
  2. System,
  3. Server,
  4. Logging,
  5. Text Filters, and
  6. Permissions.
