The Domain Transfer Process
The process is different for UK domains when compared to non-UK domains.

Some Domain Transfer Tips
Sign into the Client Area of your current Domain Registrar and check the following settings before asking a new Registrar to commence the domain transfer process:
- Domain Lock = Off;
- Registrant Details = Correct;
- GDPR Protection (if applicable) = Off.
GDPR Protection may have been added to your domain by the Domain Registrar.
If it has then you may not be able to transfer until GDPR Protection has been removed.
If you are the Registrant of a .UK Domain Name and unable to transfer your Domain Name from your current Domain Registrar for whatever reason, good news.
You can transfer your Domain using Nominet Online Services.
Nominet is the UK Domain Registry.
Nominet charge a nominal fee to switch your Domain Name from one Registrar to another.
At the time of writing, this is a fixed fee irrespective of how many Domains you are transferring.
