Hacker News report that Google has "released software updates to address yet another zero-day flaw in its Chrome web browser." Source: The Hacker News.
This is the eight time this year that Google has released updates to address zero-day vulnerabilities in Chrome."
A patch for a 0-Day Vulnerability is issued by developers when they discover a flaw which has been exploited without their knowledge.
To mitigate potential threats, users are recommended to upgrade to version:
- 107.0.5304.121 for macOS and Linux, and
- 107.0.5304.121/.122 for Windows.
Users of Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi are also advised to apply the fix.
Update Chrome to the latest release
By default the Chrome browser should update automatically.
But to be on the safe side, you should still check you are using the latest release.
