The Hacker News report that Microsoft's Patch Tuesday update for the month of August includes many as 121 new security flaws, including a fix for a Support Diagnostic Tool vulnerability that the company said is being actively exploited in the wild.

A patch for a 0-Day Vulnerability is issued by developers when they discover a flaw which has been exploited without their knowledge.

Support ends for Internet Explorer 11 on some operating systems

Microsoft also announced that it is ending support for Internet Explorer 11 "for certain operating systems" with effect from 15 June 2022.

If your operating system (OS) is affected then either upgrade your OS or start using a different browser.

Update Microsoft Windows to the latest release

By default the Windows OS should update automatically.

But to be on the safe side, you should still check you are using the latest release.

"To install the latest security updates, Windows users can head to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, or by selecting Check for Windows updates." (Hacker News).
