The Joomla! Project has announced the release of Joomla! CMS 4.0.1 and Joomla! 3.10.1 Security Releases.

These updates address an important security vulnerability in the recently launched Joomla! 4.

Users of Joomla! 3.10 should however also update their website ASAP.

The Joomla! Project announced changes to the Update Process that users of Joomla! 2.5.1 through to 4.0.3 (and subsequent releases) need to be aware of.

These changes mean that your Joomla! CMS will in future fail to update unless you check (and if necessary amend) your installation's HTACCESS file.

Moderate Impact - Insufficient access control for com_media deletion endpoint (affecting Joomla! 4.0.0).
