Joomla! 4.4.7 is a Security Fix Release.
If not yet using Joomla! 5.x then update your website to Joomla! 4.4.7 before updating it to Joomla! 5.1.3, also released today.

Heads Up
Joomla! 4.4.7 breaks pagination which adversely impacts the display of Smart Search results.
Big thank you to Phil Taylor of mysites.guru for this useful information.
Pending a patch to address this issue, here is a temporary fix you can use if you see this issue arising in your website after updating to Joomla! 4.4.7.
To temporarily fix broken pagination in Smart Search Results
Change the number of Items Per Page setting under the Advanced tab of the Smart Search Menu Link to All.

Security Fix Support ends on 14 October 2025.
The Joomla! Project recommend that you upgrade your website to Joomla! 5.x sooner rather than later.

Time to switch to using Joomla! 5.x
Joomla! 5.x was launched in October 2023 and yet still many many Joomlers are using the old Joomla! 3.10 or Joomla! 4.x CMS.
Useful advice before upgrading your website to Joomla! 5
The Joomla! Project recommend you try updating a backup of your live website before attempting to update your live website.
First check the PHP and MySQL used by your website's server are compatible with running Joomla! 5.
Minimum requirements are PHP 8.1 and MySQL 8.0.13.
It is necessary to update your website to the latest Joomla! 4.4 release before attempting to update to Joomla! 5.
Joomla! 4.x templates should work with Joomla! 5.

Is your website still using Joomla! 3.10?
Joomla! Project Security and Bug Fix support for Joomla! 3.10 ended on 17 August 2023.
The Joomla! Project offered an Extended Long Term Support (ELTS) programme on a subscription basis to users of Joomla! 3.10 who were not able to immediately switch to Joomla! 4.x or later.
The ELTS ended on 17 February 2025.
